The Young Epilepsy Section (YES) of the ILAE is a worldwide organisation of young people who are in the early stages of a career focused on the care of people with epilepsy, and/or epilepsy research.

Our overarching purposes are to:

• Improve the professional development of young people working with epilepsy across the globe.
• Equitably expand the involvement of junior women and men from all regions and disciplines across the ILAE.

Open to all junior members of the ILAE national chapters, and encompasses diverse professionals such as physicians, basic scientists, nurses, (neuro)psychologists, clinical researchers, genetic counsellors, pharmacologists, physicists, dieticians, mathematicians, social workers, and other health and community professionals. Students training in fields relevant to epilepsy are also welcome.
